Freedom Fighters in Eastern Province have continued to call for coexistence and unity in the country with a call on political party leaders to preach peace among their supporters.
Chipata District Freedom Fighters Association chairperson Landson Mtambo has told Feel Free news in a walk in interview that political leaders have the moral obligation to counsel their followers on the need of respecting each other’s political opinions.
Mr Mtambo says that blood was already shed in the struggle for independence and as such it was now time to practice politics of civility to foster social and economic development.
He says that the elections coming up this year should be used by Zambians as a platform to choose leaders of their choice without infringing on each other’s rights.
He further states that Zambia is a Christian nation that must promote tolerance, forgiveness, unity and love for one another.
